Nola is a cocktail bar that was hidden away upstairs in Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch, London. It has since moved elsewhere as a result of the sale of the building but I was asked late last year to shoot some promotional images for the release of their new cocktail menu.
We wanted to convey a premium, bohemian fell to the images and through some careful set dressing and co-operation we managed to create some content that we were happy with.
I was asked to do another day of shooting at Louie Louie in London so that we could both get specific images for a forthcoming feature in the daily newspaper the Evening Standard and also expand the collection of images they have on hand for promotional use. As it is such a brand new opening, there is a lot of interest and demand for content so we took the opportunity of some half decent natural light (English winter is far from consistent) and got some more images, this time with a slightly more natural feel to them.
